Pamela Yvonne Martin

Yadkinville - Mrs. Pamela Yvonne (Pam) Martin dispersed to travel this existence in her more natural form, awaiting her reward for a true heart and another life well lived on November 10, 2023. 
Pam was a force of nature and a champion of all beings hurt, disadvantaged, abused, overlooked or neglected. She had an unquenchably adventurous spirit and possessed the soul of a mother that we didn’t know we needed….until we did. She was quick to anger, as passionate people are, but never mean. 
Mirroring life, the complexity of her love took many forms and was never boring or stagnant. She never stopped trying to learn and better herself but at her core she had an innate knowledge of right and wrong that never wavered or dimmed. As much woe be to the wrongdoer who incurred her wrath as blessed were those who earned her love. 
She was, in the poet’s words, “Fiercely kind”. 
Left to mourn her loss, to tell her stories and to ride her wave are her husband Jim, her beloved grandson Chase Ryder Martin, her furry spoiled children Alice and Luna and countless friends, admirers and acquaintances. She has left a void that she never allowed herself to believe she would. 
She suffered at times in her life as we all do and in response tried to alleviate suffering in others, so in lieu of flowers please be kind to someone who needs kindness and be decisive for someone who needs guidance.
Her funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, and a gathering and remembrance following the service at the home of Regina Lawson, 3113 Old US 421 Highway East, Yadkinville, NC  27055.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
