"Pat" Patricia Ann Brawley Martin

“Pat” Patricia Ann Brawley Martin, age 77, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019. She was born June 18, 1941 in Yadkin County to the late Samual Jason Brawley and Bernice Cook Brawley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Frank Brawley, Bud Brawley; sisters Louise Gunter, Dorothy Cummings, Edith Woody, Betty Agresta, Fanny Sizemore; special friend Frankie Allen. Patricia was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and friend. She devoted her life to her family and friends and will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness and gentle kindness. Pat retired from Yadkin County Soil and Water Conservation after many years of service. She loved tennis and gardening. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Johnny Frank Martin; children Heather Martin Brazell (Zane), Heath Martin (Brandi); grandchildren Saber Brazell, Marley Martin, Maggi Martin, Malin Martin; sisters Mildred Hoots, Peggy Clarkson (Bill); brothers Bob Brawley, Jim Brawley; many special nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Courtney Baptist Church with Rev. James Williams and Dr. Jim Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Courtney Baptist Church.
