Yadkinville-  Mr. Paul H. Mitchell, 67, of Brandon Hills Road passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin.  He was born March 25, 1952 in Helena, NY to the late Howard and Madeline Chartrand Mitchell.  Mr. Mitchell was a retired veteran of the US Army with 20 years of service.  He was also retired from International Paper Company of Statesville, attended Bethel Baptist Church, and was of the Baptist Faith.  He loved hunting, fishing, and especially loved his grandchildren. Mr. Mitchell enjoyed listening and playing music, which led to his love of playing, repairing, restoring, and collecting different types of guitars.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Keith Mitchell.  Surviving are his beloved wife of 24 years, Robin Steelman Mitchell, of the home; his daughter, Dora, and his son, Lowell Mitchell both of Georgia; a daughter, Deleta Mitchell; step-son, Andrew Beamer, Eric (Amber) Lange; several grandchildren; 2 sisters, Barbara Kline of Connecticut, Rhea Jean Benge of Ronda, NC; and his brother, Don Mitchell of New York.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 PM Friday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM Friday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Darrell Trivette.  Full Military Honors will immediately follow the service by NC National Memorial Honor Guard.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
