Yadkinville-  Mrs. Pauline Goss Smith, 88, of Woodhaven Trail passed away peacefully Monday January 1, 2018 at her home.  She was born January 26, 1929 in Ashe County to the late Wiley Leonard and Nannie Taylor Goss.  She retired from Unifi, Inc. and was a member of Turners Creek Baptist Church.  She was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her family.  Her family was important to her.  Mrs. Smith enjoyed working in her garden and sharing the rewards of her garden with each of them. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “C.M.” Smith, three brothers, Elmer Goss, Virgil Goss, Reggie Goss; and three sisters, Mildred Goss, Kathleen Goss Smithy, and Ruth Goss Sizemore.  Surviving are her children, Gary W. (Robin ) Smith, Wanda (Bobby) Mickles, Deborah (Dean) Spainhour; grandchildren, Brad Doss, April (Kasey) Doss, Mindy (Dustin) Groce, Cory (Michael) Griffin; great-grandchildren, Taylor (Joseph) Vestal, Brett (Ryan) Parks, Jace Spainhour, Michael Mason, MaKayla Mason, Raelynn Groce; brother, Roy Goss; and two sisters, Opal (Sherrill) Hutchens, and Lannie Goss Pugh.  The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM Friday, January 5, 2018 at Turners Creek Baptist Church.  Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM Friday in the church with Rev. Scott Welch and Rev.
