Pearle Marie Hutchens Howell

Pearle Marie Hutchens Howell, 89, passed away Monday February 19, 2018. Mrs. Howell was a retired nurse with 25 years of dedicated service to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born October 3, 1928 in Yadkin County to the late Ray and Blanche Davis Hutchens. In addition to her parents Mrs. Howell was proceeded in death by her husband Robert Leonard Howell Sr.; son-in-law Luther Shields; sisters Dorothy Howell, Virginia Collins, Doris Collins; brothers Donald Hutchens, Cedric Hutchens, Martin Hutchens. She is survived by her daughters Donna Lynn Shields, Joy Wilhite (Irven); son Robert Howell; grandchildren Angela Lynn Marie Hairston, Joseph Adams (Shannon), Jeanne Call (Jason), Jeremy Wilhite (Sandra), Zachary Howell, Megan Howell, Veronica Howell; great-grandchildren Kristen Hairston, Christopher Adams, Benjamin Adams, Gabrielle Adams, Nathaniel Adams, Grace Adams, Avery Adams, Katelyn Call, Abigal Call, Bailey Wilhite, Shelby Wilhite; sister Thelma Baity.  She was of the Baptist faith. The family would like to thank the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and the staff and doctors at Forsyth Memorial Hospital Palliative Care unit for the great care given to Mrs. Howell. A very special thank you to her son-in-law and special care giver, Irven Wilhite. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, February 22, 2018, 11:00 AM at Huntsville Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Gary McCollough officiating.
