Peggy Teague Davis

Mrs. Peggy Teague Davis, 86, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023. She was born July 21, 1937 in Forsyth County to the late Newbern Jacob Teague and Nellie Gladys Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, JC Davis; son, Jeffrey William Knight; two sisters, Delores Shoaf, and Rev. Norma Jarvis. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Burt of Clemmons, Kim (Jim) Olson of Ruston, Louisiana, Gregory (Annette) Knight of Boonville; granddaughter, Madeline Burt of Clemmons; brother-in-law, Rev. Charles Jarvis, and several beloved nieces and nephews and their families. Mrs. Davis was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She had a love for music, singing, and playing the piano and organ. Mrs. Davis also loved quilting and spending time with her loving family and friends. The family will receive friends at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend, Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, September 22, 2023 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Vann Harrell and Rev. Brian Poindexter officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery.
