Peggy Revon Macemore Vanhoy

April 5, 1949 — November 13, 2022

Peggy Revon Macemore Vanhoy, 73, passed away Sunday November 13, 2022. She was born April 5, 1949 in Surry County to the late Lem Harrison Macemore and Margie Turner Macemore. She was a dedicated headstart teacher in Yadkin County for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Jimmy Macemore. Surviving are her daughters Lynn (Perry) Brown, Crystal Vanhoy; grandchildren Joel (Elizabeth) Jones, Jr., Trey Lomax, Andrew (Kathryn) Jones, J.D. Lomax, Aamir Adams; great grandchildren Maddix Lomax, Journey Jones, David Jones, Harrison Jones, Oliver Jones, Beverly Jones; sister Joyce Maecmore Poplin sister-in-law Faye Macemore. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel officiated by Rev. Gordon Macemore.  The family will receive family and friends from from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Swaims Baptist Church Cemetery in Hamptonville. The family would like to say a very special thank you to the staff at SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville and the ICU at Hugh Chatham Hospital for the loving care given to Mrs. Vanhoy. Flowers or memorials will be accepted. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Vanhoy family.
