Ralph Vaughn Evans

Yadkinville- Mr. Ralph V. Evans, 73, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center after a courageous battle against Covid-19. Mr. Evans was born January 24, 1947 in Jonesville North Carolina. He visited many parts of the world both in his private life and while serving in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents, Thad Evans and Edna Marie Evans; His brother, Chris Steven Evans; and his daughter, Christie Marie. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Evans; his daughter, Tammy Zoufaly; three grandsons, Christopher Martin, Damon Agee, and Jon May; two great granddaughters, Madeline Rain and Harper Nichole; and his loyal four-legged companion Teddy. The family will conduct a private memorial service in his honor and will invite close friends and family to join in spreading his ashes at the Vega Reservoir in Vega Colorado when Covid-19 travel and social gathering restrictions are lifted. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the Yadkin County EMS and the Forsyth Medical Center nurses and physicians who did everything they could to help Mr. Evans in his fight against this devastating virus.
