Rayford Preston Gregory

Harmony Mr. Rayford Preston Gregory, 76, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Gregory was born May 3, 1944 in Wilkes County to Orville and Minnie Cass Gregory. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Mae Flinchum Gregory; two sisters, Erma Lou Flinchum and Sudie Jarvis; and two brothers, Ralph and Albert Gregory. He is survived by four children, Rex (Vivian) Walker, Pat (Richard) Speaks, Lynn Walker (Gail), and Elaine (Ray) Tilley; grandchildren, Mikle (Coleen) Walker, Crystal Walker, Craig Gregory, Tammy (Andrew) Shatley, James (Deidre) Walker, Amanda (Ray) Hawks, Audrey (Scottie) Carpenter, Alicea Jones, and Penny (Jason) Yountz; great grandchildren, Katelynn, Sierra, Mia, Kaley, Amaliyah, Austin, Will, Brynlee, Joshua, Hailey, Zoey, Connor, Raelyn, and Asher; a great-great grandchild, Hazel; a sister, Mattie Gregory; a sister-in-law, Minnie Caldwell; and many other special family members. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. You may come pay your respects to Mr. Gregory from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Thursday, Feb. 4th at Gentry Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & palliative Care of Iredell, 2347 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 28625.
