Rev Cecil Earl Carter

CarterMocksville-Rev. Cecil Earl Carter, 89, of Mocksville, passed away Sunday December 3, 2017. He was born in Yadkin County on February 8, 1928 to William and Ethel Dull Carter. Rev. Carter was a retired minister of over 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Oneita Cranford, and four brothers, Elwood Carter, Thurmond Carter, Lowell Carter, and Ershal Carter. Surviving are his wife, Mary Beauchamp Carter, his children Louise Carter, Wayne Carter, and Barbara Atkins, six grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Eatons Baptist Church with Rev. David Gilbreath officiating. The body will lie instate from 12:00 until 1:00pm at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and family Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SECU Hospice Care Center, 320 West Maple Street, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service is serving the Carter family.
