Rex Norman Sale

Mr. Rex Norman Sale, 84, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023. He was born in Yadkin County on June 7, 1939 to Harold and Nealie Sale. Rex enjoyed spending most of his time outdoors. He loved Ford trucks and Ford mustangs, and he really enjoyed going to cruise-ins. Rex was an upstanding member of the community and Marler Road Baptist Church. He will be very missed by everyone who had the privilege to know him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Joe Sale and David Sale; and sister, Kathryn Pardue. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia Allen Sale; son, Jerry Sale; granddaughter, Amanda Brandon and husband, Rex; great-grandchildren, Brooke Brandon and fiancé, Wilson Reece, Aydin Brandon and boyfriend, Dylan Renegar, and Cody Brandon. 

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Randy Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm prior to the graveside service at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville. The family would like to say a very special thank you to Rex’s caregiver, Jessica, for the loving care and compassion given to Rex and his family. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Jonesville is serving the Sale family.
