East Bend-Rinda Lou Joyce Jester, 78,  of East Bend, died peacefully, Monday, February 21, 2022 with her daughter at her side. She was born in Yadkin County on April 2, 1943 to John Thomas “J.T.” and Mildred Masencup Joyce. Mrs. Jester worked at Hanes Hoisery, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., and later in the lunchroom at Yadkin County Schools. She was a member of East Bend Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death recently by her husband, Gorrell Dean Jester; and two sisters, Wanda Phillips and Brenda Huffman.

Surviving are her daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Hobson; an extremely close sister, Linda Joyce Matthews; and the best nieces and nephews ever.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11:00AM at Gentry Family Funeral Chapel in East Bend with Pastor Allen Boggs and Pastor Eddie Tyson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until 11:00AM prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the East Bend Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the East Bend Baptist Church Chime Fund, 112 Fairground Road, East Bend, NC 27018.
