Robert "Bob" Thompson Bost

Hamptonville Mr. Robert “Bob” Thompson Bost, Sr., 80, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mr. Bost was born July 20, 1939 in Yadkin County to Robert Bost and Pauline Shermer Wiles. He was a member of Forbush Baptist Church. Mr. Bost retired from RJ Reynolds and was an instructor for truck driver training for several years. He enjoyed fishing, especially deep sea fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bost was preceded in death by a step son, Mark Trivette. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Shirley Trivette Bost; four children, Robert (Barbara) Bost, Jr., Christopher (Maria) Bost, Rodney (Ronni) Bost, and Paula Bost; a step daughter, Tracy (Scott) Marion; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, June 19, 2020 at 2:00PM at Yadkin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Grady Trivette officiating. Mr. Bost will be available for public viewing Friday morning from 8:00 to 1:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yadkin County Humane Society PO Box 1652 Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Bost family.
