Dear Reader, this is to let you know that Bob (Robert G. Woollard),83, has fulfilled his earthly assignment and the Lord Jesus has called Bob to join Him in heavenly pursuits beginning March 28,2024. He was born July 27, 1940 to the late Fredric Vincent Woollard and Sadie Alice Hammond Woollard. Mr. Woollard was on the 1962 Wake Forest Basketball ACC and NCAA Championship team and graduated with a BA in History. He went on to play in the ABA, NBA and various semi-Pro Basketball teams and continued to play in celebrity games thorough out his younger years. He was the son of a contractor working though out his life with his hands building and creating. Later, he followed his passion for farming and teaching. He coached basketball at Starmount High School and Forbush High School leaving an impression as large as he was on the school but mostly on his students. After his retirement, when seen out and about his students would call to him saying “Hi, Mr. Woollard” or “Coach”. He will be missed by all. A true gentle giant.
