Robert Dewitt “Butch” Holbrook, 59, passed away Sunday July 7, 2019. He was born June 15, 1960 in Surry County to David Holbrook, Jr. and Lucille Wishon Holbrook. Butch worked several years for Carl Rose & Sons, recently employed by B&G Foods. He was preceded in death by his father David Holbrook, Jr.; paternal grandparents David and Ruby Holbrook; maternal grandparents Bob and Mattie Wishon; nephew Wayne Colvard. Surviving are his wife Peggy Galyean Holbrook; mother Lucille Wishon Holbrook; children Chris Holbrook, Lakin Holbrook; step daughter Misty Burchette; grandchildren Gatlyn Shermer; sister Tammy (Doug) Colvard, Pam (Steve) Woodward; brother Keith (Brenda) Holbrook; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Wednesday July 10, 2019 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. His funeral will be conducted at 12:00 PM Wednesday July 10, 2019 at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville by Rev. Stephen Evans.
