Robert Stephen Hawks

Yadkinville – Robert Stephen Hawks, 67, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023.  He was born May 2, 1956 in Yadkin County to the late Walter Marcus Hawks and Myrtle Marion Hawks.  Robert loved Nascar, and was a talented carpenter.  He was the owner and operator of Hawks Home Improvements.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Louise Wagoner, Betty Groce, Faye Hunter; brother, Marcus Hawks.  Surviving is his daughter, Hannah (Brett) Johnston; grandchildren, Gabriella, Halleigh, Luke; sister, Brenda Fullerton; brothers, Donald Hawks, Michael Hawks; special friend, Donna Stokes; beloved dog, Soupy; and a host of extended family and friends.  His funeral service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by Brother Steve McCollum.  Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Gardens with full military honors by the Yadkin VFW Post 10346.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00PM Wednesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 243 N.
