Robert Jessie Spicer

Yadkinville Mr. Robert Spicer, 72, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home. Mr. Spicer was born May 12, 1945 in Wilkes County to Homer and Nellie Nelson Spicer. He was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Mr. Spicer was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Spicer was preceded in death by three brothers, Leon, JD, and Fred Spicer; and a brother-in-law, David Williams. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Raye Spicer; one son, Barry (Phyllis) Spicer; one grandson, Nathan Spicer; two sisters, Cathern Williams and Mary (Mackie) Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Bear Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
