Johnson Lewisville – Robert Mitchell Johnson, 52, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017.  He was born October 24, 1964 in Forsyth County.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.F. (Jewel) Brooks; uncle, Jeffrey D. Brooks; grandfather, William Johnson; cousin, Phillip Brooks.  Surviving are his mother, Kay Brooks (Richard) Mast; children, Joseph Travis Johnson, Jacob Tyler (Katie) Willard, Kasey D. Norman, Gabriel D. Norman; grandchildren, Caiden Wayne Johnson, Brentlee Angel, Carter Lee Angel; aunt, Susan Brooks (Mike) Ferris; special cousin, Emmylou Dooly; father, Jeffry Lynn Johnson; grandmother, Katherine C. Johnson; uncle, Tommy Johnson; cousin, Carmen Johnson.  His graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Asbury United Methodist Cemetery by the Rev. Mark Reavill.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at Asbury United Methodist Church.  Memorials can be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 1900 Asbury Church Road, Hamptonville, NC  27020 or to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC  27103.  The family would like to thank Dr. Petty and his wonderful staff at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Cancer Services and to Kate B.
