Robert Demont Thompson

Mocksville Mr. Robert Demont Thompson, 45, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Thompson was born April 10, 1976 in Iredell County to Terry Dalton and Robert Peet. He enjoyed traveling and watching his children play sports and cheer. Rob was a great athlete, especially football and basketball. The most important thing to him was being a great father to his children. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his father, Robert Peet; grandparents, Bill & Julie Dalton; brother-in-law, Josh Hazlewood; and a niece, Candy Thompson. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Santana Nicole Thompson; children, Tyree Peebles, Kiaria Thompson, Kobe Thompson, Kimara Thompson, Cassidy Thompson, Camryn Thompson, K’miyah Thompson, and K’mora Thompson; mother-in-law, Tammy Hazlewood; father-in-law, James Hazlewood; sister, Sherry Thompson (Anthony Price); brother, Kenneth Thompson; and brother-in-law, Eric Hazlewood. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00PM, Friday, October 8, 2021 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the funeral home. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Thompson family.
