Roger Leon Groce

Hamptonville – Roger Leon Groce, 82, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021. He was born January 29, 1939 in Yadkin County to the late Burley and Lola Whitaker Groce. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Groce; nephew, Joey Groce. Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Judy Brown Groce; children, Chrissie Groce, Richard Groce, Abigail Groce (Chad Sharp); grandchildren, Mary Ann (Marcus) Wilmoth, Wyatt Holden, Jake Groce, Kasey Groce; great grandchildren, Jared Wilmoth, Jonah Wilmoth; brothers, Harvey Groce and Billy Groce. His funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Swaims Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Swaims Baptist Church. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Groce family.
