Roger Wilson Stanley

Mr. Roger Wilson Stanley, age 83, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022. He was born January 1, 1939 in Surry County to the late William Edgar Stanley and Dora Elizabeth Lash Stanley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Stanley; son, Roger Keith Stanley; sister, Pearlie Boger; brothers, Ronald Stanley, and Ray Stanley. Roger was a member of the Elkin Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and reading the Bible. He is survived by his children, Tony (Joyce) Stanley, and Debbie (Steven) St.John; step-children, Brenda (Mark) Brunner, Glenda (Franklin) Triplett, Ralph (Pamela) Stanley Jr; grandchildren, Crystal Poplin, Tiffany Stanley, Bryson St.John, Zayley St.John; six step-grandchildren. The family will receive friends, Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 12:00PM, at Crestwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Cook officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice, especially Nurse Ramona Pardue for the loving care shown to Roger and his family.
