Ronald Edwin Eaton

Eaton East Bend – Ronald Edwin Eaton, 71, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018. He was born November 17, 1946 in Forsyth County to the late Edwin Crater Eaton and Lucille Bayne Eaton.  Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, competitive shooting, and coaching the hunter safety team at Forbush Elementary.  He always enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.  Ronald worked with his father at the Yadkinville Roller Mill until 1986 and then worked for the NCDOT and retired as a senior right of way agent.  He also served as a Yadkin County Commissioner from 1980 – 1984.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Charles Eaton.  Surviving is his wife, Linda Carter Eaton; sons, Richard (Kristy) Eaton, Patrick (Donna) Eaton; grandchildren, Nathan Eaton, Avery Eaton; brother, Paul (Sherry) Eaton.  His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Forbush Friends Meeting by the Rev. Ray Lambe.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forbush Friends Meeting, 4460 Forbush Road East Bend, NC 27018.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Forbush Friends Meeting.  Memorials can be made to Forbush Friends Meeting Building Fund, 4460 Forbush Road, East Bend, NC  27018.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Eaton family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
