Ruby King Reavis

Ruby King Reavis, 95, of Hamptonville passed away on Friday, August 10 2018, at her home. She was born in Yadkin County, NC on August 15, 1922; daughter of the late Eugene Franklin King and Martha Ellen Branon King. She was a member of West Yadkin Baptist Church and attended as long as she was able. She worked in Textile as a Seamstress. She made all the children’s clothing growing up and made prom dresses and even a granddaughter’s Junior Miss Dress, she loved quilting, crocheting and gardening. Surviving include her children, Earline Goin (Bobby Evans) of Hamptonville, Judy Podulka (Wayne) of Plano, TX and Brenda Money (Dale) of Elkin; grandchildren, Candice Brown, Jennifer Podulka (Chris Venner) Amanda Gray (Cameron), Michael Podulka (Brooke), Misty Ball (Marty), Ricky Money (Carmen) and Gina Brown Hauser. Great grandchildren, Vance Brown (Shelly), Juston Brown (Miranda), Colin Gray, Cooper Gray, Connor Ball and Brayden Ball. Great-great grandchildren; Charlie Brown, Grace Brown and Piper Brown and her sister, Lois Blackburn. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reavis was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Reavis, they enjoyed 61 years together, a grandson, Mark Brown, sister, Bernice Powers and her brother, Franklin King. A celebration of life service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at West Yadkin Baptist Church with Rev. Richard O’Dom officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Monday 13, 2018 at Gentry Family Funeral Service Yadkinville. A special thanks to, Mary, Jessica, Pat, Brittany and staff of Wake Forest Hospice of Wilkes County for the loving tender caring ways given to our Mom, that allowed her to have her finial wish of being home.
