Ruth Melton Frye

Yadkinville Mrs. Della “Ruth” Melton Frye, 88, passed away Thursday, February 07, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Frye was born March 26, 1930 in Yadkin County to Emmett and Ora Dinkins Melton. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Frye enjoyed working in her flowers. She was a sweet mother and a special lady to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frye was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Evan Frye; and two sisters, Etta Steelman and Annie Pearl Adams Speer. She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Rodney) Couch; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2725 East Old US Hwy 421 Yadkinville, NC 27055.
