Ruth Inscore Summers Williams Greene, 93, passed away peaceably surrounded by her family on Sunday may 28, 2017 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center. Ruth is a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hamptonville and attended Society Baptist Church in Iredell County as long as her health permitted. Ruth was preceded in death by her father and mother William Sanford “Ferd” and Zera Pardue Inscore; 1st husband William “Bill” Summers, 2nd husband Holland Williams, 3rd husband Ed Greene; four brothers and two sisters. Ruth is survived by two children William Fred ( Mae) Summers of State Road and Lydia Diane Walker of Mocksville. Ruth is also survived by five grandchildren Sandra Johnson, Shirley Collins, Alan Walker, Jamie Walker, Marcie Walker (Mickey) Roseman; eight great grandchildren; four sisters Dessie Holloway, Ann Adams, Mildred Davis, Carol Barker; sister in law Texie Inscore. Ruth was a loving and Godly mother, granny, and great granny. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. Her funeral will be conducted at 12:00 following the visitation in the Gentry family Chapel by rev. Jeff Holder and Dr. Don Hudson. Burial will follow at oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff and Belinda Hudson, RN of Yadkin Nursing Center for the loving care given to Mrs. Greene.
