Ruth Draughn Harris

Jonesville Ruth Draughn Harris, 83, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018. She was born July 11, 1934 in Yadkin County to the late Samuel and Pearl Wagoner Draughn. In addition to her parents Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband John H. Harris; brothers Glen Draughn, Garl Draughon; sister Ruby Hayes. She is survived by her brothers Gilmer (Doris) Draughn, Grady (Margaret) Draughn; sister-in-law Bobbye Draughon; several nieces and nephews; very special loved ones Jody, Chris, Lori, and Jennifer. She was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Harris was a very loyal Elvis Presley fan, she loved attending Elvis impersonator concerts, and she also loved canning and quilting. Her funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 24, 2018, 11:00 AM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville, with Rev. Don Hudson and Rev. Phillip Link officiating. Burial will follow in the Boonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service.
