Ruth Anderson Johnson

On May 3, 2023, Ms. Ruth Johnson departed this world and entered into heaven. She traded her crippled body for a perfect body in a land where the lame leap like the Heart. A place created by a Savior for the redeemed of GOD, whom she loved and accepted as her Savior. She was born January 10, 1943 to the late Vernie Anderson and Elsie Jackson Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elga Johnson; brothers, Wayne Bud Anderson, Dwight Anderson; sisters, Dorothy Anderson Sumner, Betty Anderson Spillman, Margaret Vestal Spillman; and a grandson, Brandon Johnson. She is survived by sons, Jeff Johnson and Keith (Miranda) Johnson; grandchildren, Jeffrey Johnson, Randy Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Dustin (Kristen) Johnson, Nolan (Alexis) Johnson, Raelyn Johnson; great-grandchildren, Caleb Johnson, Madison Johnson, Hailey Johnson, Koby Johnson, Jasper Johnson, Carter Johnson, Emma Johnson, Elena-Grace Johnson; sister, Dot Anderson Childress. The family will receive friends, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Courtney Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM at the church, with Rev. Nolan Johnson and Rev. Johnny Beckham, James Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Johnson family.
