Ruth Swaim Mastin

Ruth Swaim Mastin, 92, passed away Monday August 17, 2020. She was born February 21, 1928 in Yadkin County to the late Fred Swaim and Ertle Armstrong Swaim. She was a member of Swan Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Thomas Franklin Mastin; sister Etta Pinnix; two brothers Ray Swaim and Wayne Swaim. Surviving are her daughter Teresa (Edwin) Tucker; son Gary Mastin; grandchildren Jennifer (Darren) Harris, Bethany (Daniel) Settle, Dylan (Rocio) Tucker, Dustin (Sarah) Tucker; great grandchildren McKinley Harris, Braeden Harris, Bryson Settle, Caitlyn Settle, one great granddaughter on the way; brother D. C. (Joan) Swaim. Due to Covid-19 restrictions their will be no public visitation but you can come by from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Tuesday August 18 to view at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. Her funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday August 19 at Swan Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Scott Bishop, Rev. Daniel Settle and Rev. Randy Johnson. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to Norma Chappell and the staff of Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation center for the loving care given to Mrs. Mastin.
