Ruth Fran Bell York

Mrs. Ruth Fran Bell York, 79, of Hamptonville, NC passed away at her residence on Friday May 27, 2022. She was born in Surry County, NC on October 8, 1942; daughter of the late Maurice Beach Bell and Susie Branon Bell, other then her parents, she was preceded in death by her 2 sons; Timothy Wayne Winebargar and Raymond Lee "Josh" Shew, Jr., sister; Peggy Boles and a brother; Maurice Bell. Mrs. York attended Mountain View Baptist Church. She loved traveling the open roads and has been to every state but one, loved watching Westerns, gardening, humming birds and enjoyed all animals. Surviving are her three children; Ronald Damon Shew, Susan Kim Wilson and Camie Felecia Shew, her loving grandchildren; Marissa Nicole Shew and Derrick Ireland. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A special thanks to her caregiver Tammy Hemric.
