Sammy Dale Hutchens

Hutchens Yadkinville- Mr. Sammy Dale Hutchens, 40, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at his home. He was born October 6, 1982 in Forsyth County to Bobby Gray Hutchens and Sandra Ann Hutchens Hutchens Martin. Mr. Hutchens loved working in carpentry and had worked several years with Eddleman Construction and with Mathis Farms of Roaring River. He loved deer hunting, catfish and carp fishing, but especially loved his children and was a wonderful father to each of them. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Gray Hutchens; his brother, Benjamin Gray Hutchens; half-sister, Melissa Hutchens; grandparents, Walter Gray Hutchens, Mary Elizabeth Goad Hutchens, Elizabeth Ann Hutchens, Norman Dale Hutchens. Surviving are his wife, Ashley Lynn Hutchens; his 3 children, Lanie Marie Hutchens, Matthew Gray Hutchens, Bentley Wayne Hutchens; 2 step-children, Emma Johnson, Kevin Johnson; his mother, Sandra Ann Hutchens; half-sister, Michelle Hutchens; special uncle, Wilson Hutchens; cousins, Sam and Susie Hutchens; lots of friends including his best friends, Curtis Griffin and Timothy “Tim” Carter. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
