Clemmons -  Mr. Samuel Gregory “Lil Sam” Byerly, II, 45, passed away Tuesday April 6, 2021.  He was born December 25, 1975 in Forsyth County to Samuel Gregory Byerly, Sr. and Margaret Burger Byerly.  Lil Sam, as he was lovingly known, was a big teddy bear and kind soul to all of his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Gregory Byerly, Sr, and by his mother, Margaret Burger Laudien.  Those left to cherish his memory are his step-grandfather, Jim Byerly; several aunts and uncles, including 2 special aunts, Darlene (Randy) Stewart and Ann (Gerald) Fletcher; his step-father, Sven Laudien; several cousins and friends.  The family will receive friends for Lil Sam from 6-8 PM Friday at Gentry Family Funeral Service, 5108 US Highway 601, Yadkinville.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
