The Bristow family mourns the loss of Sarah Jane Bristow, who passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on August 19, 1937, in Washington DC, Sarah was the second youngest of Louise and Clinton’s ten children. She now joins her parents and siblings in eternal rest. Sarah was a proud mother to Steve, Charlotte, and Debra, an adoring grandmother to Stephen, Julian, Brandon, Brian, and Sarah and great grandmother to Colt, Luke and Elena Raine. Among her most cherished experiences was living in France for two years to care for her granddaughter, a reflection of her boundless love and adventurous spirit. Sarah’s life was a testament to creativity, resilience, and love. A dreamer at heart, she always kept hope alive, drawing strength from her unwavering faith in the Lord and the comfort of her cherished King James Bible. A gifted singer, songwriter, and creative soul, Sarah found refuge and joy in music. Sitting at her keyboard, she composed whimsical songs like “Jolly Jolly Ho Ho Ho.” While her dream of widespread recognition for her music never came true, her songs remain a testament to her imagination and optimism. Sarah’s heart was truly unique—both figuratively and literally. After a heart surgery decades ago introduced a pig’s valve to replace her own, doctors predicted it might last only a few years. Instead, her resilient heart kept beating strong for decades, defying all odds and proving her tenacious spirit. Sarah’s spark and unique sense of humor made her truly unforgettable. She brought joy to life’s little moments and leaves an enduring legacy of love, laughter, and creativity. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Bristow family.
