Scottie Houston Dickerson

Hamptonville Mrs. Scottie Sue Houston Dickerson, 77, passed away Monday, October 09, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Dickerson was born March 30, 1940 in Catawba County to the late Leonard and Dixie Lee Houston. She attended Hanes Grove UMC and enjoyed reading. Mrs. Dickerson is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry Alfred Dickerson; three children, Leonard Douglas Kelly, Kay Kelly Gentry, and Michael (Missy) Dickerson; grandchildren, Emily Kelly, Megan Wagner, Kaleb Dickerson, and Haley Dickerson; and one great grandchild, Jesse Lee Covington. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00PM, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Hanes Grove UMC cemetery with Pastor Tilden Bridges officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hanes Grove UMC Building Fund, 2733 US 21 Hwy Hamptonville, NC 27020.
