East Bend-  Mr. Sherman Eric Wooten, 54, of Melinda Lane passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center.  He was born in Forsyth County to the late Thomas Yancey and Mary Colie Wooten.  Mr. Wooten was a graduate of Forbush High School Class of 1985.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lynn Wooten in 2006.  Surviving are his brother, Sterling Wooten; sister-in-law, Sharon Kazlo; niece, Sydney Wooten; and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  Mr. Wooten will be available for public viewing from 8-5 PM Friday and 8-12 on Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend.  His graveside service will be 3PM Saturday at Prospect United Methodist Church weather permitting.  If because of inclement weather, then the service will be moved to the Gentry Family Chapel in East Bend at 3 PM Saturday.  Please call to verify, or return to the website for any updates.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, or The Blind Society (Clemmons), or to a charity of the donors choice.
