Hamptonville Mrs. Shirley Mae Stanley Mahan, 79, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Mahan was born May 26, 1940 in Davie County to Claude Stanley and Frances Anderson Lash. She was a member of Way of Life Tabernacle Church. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mahan was preceded in death by three sisters, Evona Cope, Helen Brooks and Diane Miller; and two brothers, Harold Stanley and Joe Stanley. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, James Edward Mahan; three daughters, Deborah Wheeler, Tammy (Ronnie) Helton, and Amanda (Larry) Longworth; grandchildren, Wes (Mary) Holcomb, Nicole (Chris) Holland, Caleb Helton, Lathan Longworth (Emily Williams), Lindsey (Billy) Durham, and Lexie Longworth; great grandchildren, Brioanna, Natalia, and Will Holcomb, Aisley & Grayson Longworth, and CJ Durham; two sisters, Cathy Dockery and Brenda Huff; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Kelly Haynes and Rev. Tim Pardue officiating. Burial will follow at Way of Life Tabernacle Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM, Friday evening at the funeral home.
