Shirley Swaim Shore

East Bend Mrs. Shirley Mae Swaim Shore, 84, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Pruitt Healthcare. Mrs. Shore was born June 30, 1936 in Surry County to Thad and Annie Royall Swaim. She was a member of Longtown Holiness Church and retired from Sara Lee Hosiery after 43 years of service. Mrs. Shore loved her family and enjoyed going out to eat and shopping. She was a woman of strong faith and loved her Lord. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shore was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Thurmond Shore; and a brother, Steve Swaim. She is survived by three daughters, Carol (Bobby) Taylor, Julie (Tony) Harris, and Lisa (David) Wiedenhoft; grandchildren, Bobby (Kathy) Taylor, Jr., Shane (Jenny) Taylor, Chad (Sonda) Harris, Brent Harris, Karson Crouse, Sarah Wiedenhoft, and Isaac Wiedenhoft; great grandchildren, Jessica (David) Erdmann, Macy Taylor, Korie Taylor, Kody Taylor, Liam, and Ava; great-great grandson, John Erdmann; a sister, Peggy Mathis; a brother, Kenneth Swaim; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00PM, Monday January 4, 2021 at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Mike Jefferson officiating. Burial will follow at Longtown Cemetery. Mrs. Shore will be available for public viewing Sunday, January 3rd from 8:00AM to 5:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
