Sidney Victor Wilson, Jr.

Sidney Victor Wilson, Jr., 91, passed away Wednesday December 23, 2020. He was born December 14, 1929 in Carroll County, VA to the late Sidney Victor Wilson, Sr. and Laura Edwards Wilson. Mr. Wilson served in the US Army and was a life member of the American Legion Post 505. He was a Mason in the Masonic Lodge in Galax, Virginia. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 50 years Anne Pate Wilson, sister Lillie Cooley, brothers Ellyson Wilson, Glenn Wilson. Surviving are children Arvil Sale, James Sale, Vickie (Charles) Orange; grandchildren Mark Danner, Tim Danner, Shawn (Christina) Power, Casey Sale, Johnna Sale, Chase (Jodie) Orange, Dedra (Stephen) Haire; great grandchildren Luke Danner, Dustin Danner, Cameron Power, Ava Power, Emma, Memphis, Morgan Anne Haire, Asher Orange; sister Rebecca Wilson. A public viewing will be held from 1-5 PM on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 1, 2021 at St. Paul United Methodist Church by Rev. Greg Freeman with Full Military Honors by the VFW Post 10346. Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church 2016 Buck Shoals Rd. Hamptonville, NC 27020. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Wilson family.
