EAST BEND- Mrs. Sina Combs Fulp, 97, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Yadkin Nursing Center. She was born December 28, 1926 in Wilkes County to the late Alfonzo and Flossie Henderson Combs. Mrs. Fulp was retired with over 40 years of service from Hanes Hosiery. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, crocheting, traveling during her retirement, a good yard sale, and fellowshipping with friends, neighbors, and family. She was a faithful member of Forbush Friends Meeting where she served the church as a Sunday School teacher, and was on the Hospitality Committee for many years. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Wesley Fulp; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters. Surviving are her beloved son, Michael J. (Sharon) Fulp; grandchildren, Michael James Fulp, Jr., Monica (Paul) Williams; great-granddaughter, Mary Ruth Williams; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Forbush Friends Meeting. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 3 PM Sunday in the church by Pastor Mitchell See, Pastor Michael Fulp. Jr., and Rev. Jake Penley. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Fulp will be available for the public to view from 12-5 PM Saturday and 8AM-1 PM Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Yadkin Nursing Center and Liberty Hospice for all the loving care given to Mrs. Fulp.
