"Sonny" Walter Fredrick Miller Jr

Mr. Walter Fredrick “Sonny” Miller, Jr, age 88, passed away on February 10, 2024. He was born in Clark County, Indiana, May 20, 1935 to the late Walter Fredrick Miller Sr., and Marion Madeline Morris Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Mary Elizabeth Rager Miller; and a sister, Mary Ann Lenfert. Mr. Miller enjoyed metal detecting, camping, coin collecting, and he loved competition shooting and working in his yard. He also loved traveling to the beach and mountains, and his greatest love was his family. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Robin Christina Miller of Thomasville, Kim (Kenny) Brice of Thomasville, Patty (Doug) Jones of Jonesville, Mike (Martha) Miller of Reidsville; grandchildren, Shawn Richey, Robby (Ashley) Dorman, Emily (Trent) Bryan, Rena Brice, Jessica (Ryne) Couch, Kimberlee Brice, Kyle (Jayme) Jones, Zachary Jones, Hannah Jones, Paige (Zachary) Manuel, Austin Miller, Jake Miller; great-grandchildren, McKenzee Bryan, Gracie Bryan, TJ Bryan, Nadia Couch, Nolan Couch, Joseph Gallagher, Nathan Gallagher, Asher Jones, Abel Jones, Adoni Jones, Eveie Dorman, and Novalie Manuel; sister, Diane (Edward “Boop”) Bernhardt; sister-in-law, Dana Marie Rowe. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice for the loving care given to Sonny and his family. The family will have a private Celebration of Life Service at a later date. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Jonesville is serving the Miller family.
