Hamptonville – Stephen Wayne Kiser, 69, passed away when his heart wore out on January 28, 2022. Steve was born September 24, 1952 in Forsyth County to Wayne St. Claire Kiser and Jacqueline Holcomb Tesh. Steve had a love for socializing with people and sharing stories and events from his colorful life. He enjoyed playing golf as long as his health permitted. He helped on several local race teams. He owned his own auto body repair business. The vehicles had to pass Steve’s high standards before leaving his shop. His talent provided him with many opportunities. He painted the trailer that hauled Dale Earnhardt’s car, Winston Cup show cars, and Neil Bonnett’s race car that was on the cover of a racing magazine. He enjoyed attending Center Grove Baptist Church where he rededicated his heart and life to Christ. Steve loved all of his family. He enjoyed all the times they were able to spend together. He was the proudest of his children, Garrett and Blair. Garrett’s death took a toll on Steve. He was so proud of Blair with her job and the mother she was to Hadley. Steve is survived by his wife, Genevieve Kiser; daughter, Blair (Todd Rennix); favorite granddaughter, Hadley; brother, Mike (Irene) Sonier; sisters, Donna Imsand, Beverly (Kevin) Nutt; brother-in-law, Brent (Linda) Steelman; Aunts, Judie Holcomb Pack, Jan (Chris) Hooper; uncles, Ted (Frenchie) Holcomb, Alvin Holcomb; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, friends; and his special buddy, Caesar. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 4:00 pm at the Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with the Rev, Jeff Chetwood officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm prior to the service at Gentry Family Funeral Service.
