Teresa Lynn Carlton

February 2, 1964 — April 24, 2024

Teresa Lynn Carlton, 60, passed away Wednesday April 24, 2024. She was born February 2, 1964 in Forsyth County to Robert Larry Carlton and MaeBelle Dinkins Carlton. Ms. Carlton was a detective with the Wake Forest University Police Department for 20 plus years. Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Larry Carlton. Surviving are her mother MaeBelle Dinkins Carlton sister Andra Carlton Hunter; niece Bethany (Cameron) Hoover; nephew Dylan Hunter; great nephew Maverick Hoover; special K-9 Presley; several other family members. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday April 28, 2023 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted following the visitation at 3:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Chris Hauser. Burial will follow at South Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial may be made to the ALS Foundation 4N Blount St #200 Raleigh, NC 27601. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin for the loving care given to Ms. Carlton. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Carlton family.
