Terry Lee Jackson

Mr. Terry Lee Jackson, 68, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Woltz Hospice Care Center. Mr. Jackson was born March 15, 1953 in Wilkes County to William Edward and Carolyn Johnson Jackson. He enjoyed Clemson Football, cooking barbecue, spending time with his grandchildren, and talking sports. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by a brother, James Gray; and his special K-9 companion, Monty. He is survived by his step mother, Betty G. Jackson; three children, Aaron (Tessie) Jackson, Casey (Timothy) Gaffrey, and Jordan (Amber) Jackson; his children's mother, Kathy Urbowicz; grandchildren, Nellie, Grace, Mae, Deacon, Parker, Phoebe, and Liam; a very special friend, Simone Hicks; a sister, Jane (Bill) Horne; brothers, Scott (Sharon) Jackson, David (Susan) Gray, and Wayne (Beth) Gray; and numerous special nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will be conducted at 12:00PM, Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Dennyville Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Riley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 12:00PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Simone Hicks for the love, dedication and support she has shown to Terry. They enjoyed spending time together and volunteering in the Hillsville Community. Also, a special thank you to Achia Bolt for her generosity, kindness, and friendship and to Carolyn Barnes for the loving care given to Terry in his final days. Lastly, the family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home for the amazing care and support during this difficult time.
