Texie Weatherman Inscore

Hamptonville Mrs. Texie Lou Weatherman Inscore, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Inscore was born February 29, 1932, leap year, in Yadkin County to Richard “Toby” and Ora Mae Weatherman. She retired from RJ Reynolds after 27 years of service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Inscore was preceded in death by her husband, William Gorrell Inscore; a great-great grandchild, Isabella Womack; a daughter-in-law, Kristy Inscore; and a brother-in-law, Gwynn Walker. She is survived by three children, Rick (Bobbie) Inscore, Richard “Dick” Inscore, and Linda (Odell) Vestal; grandchildren, Brandy (Norman) Chavis, James Inscore, Michael (Kara) Adams, Becky Spencer, Jayme Bauer, and Justin Inscore; twelve great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Brenda Walker. A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00PM, Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Victory Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Mahan and Rev. Tink Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00PM prior to the service at the church. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice for the loving care given to Mrs. Inscore.
