Thelma Hutchens Baity

Yadkinville Mrs. Thelma Grey Hutchens Baity, 81, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at her home after a short battle with cancer. Mrs. Baity was born June 23, 1937 in Yadkin County, youngest daughter to Ray Marvin and Blanche Davis Hutchens. She was a member of Turners Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baity was preceded in death by a son, Darell Scott Baity; brothers, Cedric, Martin, and Donald Hutchens; sisters, Virginia Collins, Pearl Howell, Doris Collins, and Margaret Howell. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Charles Dewey Baity, Sr.; two sons, Mark A. Baity and Charles D. Baity, Jr.; a brother, R.M. Hutchens; and a sister, Jackie Howell. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Turners Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Welch and Rev. Roy Flynt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM, Saturday evening at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
