Thelma "Bernice" Rose Roberts

Boonville Mrs. Thelma Bernice Rose Roberts, 88, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Hugh Chatham Hospital. Bernice was born April 11, 1934 in Forsyth County to William and Della Bauguess Rose. She enjoyed gardening and spoiling her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Narvey Glen Roberts; and brothers, Charlie “Buck” Rose and Bobby Rose. She is survived by her sons, Ricky (Sheila) Roberts and Randy (Chris) Roberts; grandchildren, DJ Roberts, Mandy (Justin) Walters, Brandy (Jimmy) Smith, and Viki Gomez; great grandchildren, Adriana Roberts (Jordan Lyon), Cheyenne Roberts (Ivory Moran), Dakota Roberts, Aiden Walters, Jacey Walters, Bella Walters, John Cody Smith, and Larry Smith; great -great grandchildren, Lyanna Lyon and Joseph Lyon. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Mitchells Chapel UMC with Rev. Gordon Macemore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mitchells Chapel UMC Cemetery Fund, 2410 Center Road Boonville, NC 27011. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Kathy Casstevens and the staff of New Horizons Home Care and the staff of Hugh Chatham Hospital ICU for the loving care given to Bernice.
