Thomas Leonard Bobbitt

Hamptonville Mr. Thomas Leonard Bobbitt, 75, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Rosewood Assisted Living. Mr. Bobbitt was born August 24, 1941 in Grayson County, VA to James and Bertha Cheek Bobbitt. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bobbitt was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Cheek Bobbitt. He is survived by one son, Junior (Susan) Bobbitt; two grandchildren, Christopher (Sandra) Bobbitt and Courtney (Ben) Baity; two great grandchildren, Emilee and Ethan Bobbitt; and one sister, Hazel Harris. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Richard Odum and Dr. Joey Tomlin officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincerer appreciation to Nancy and the staff of Rosewood Assisted Living for the wonderful loving care given to Mr. Bobbitt. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church, 3800 Flat Rock Church Rd Hamptonville, North Carolina 27020.
