Thomas Elwood Williams

Williams Hamptonville – Thomas Elwood Williams, 86, passed away Saturday, September 09, 2017. He was born July 5, 1931 in Yadkin County to the late Joshua Ellis Williams and Nancy Williams.  Elwood served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Dull Williams; second wife, Mary Lou Martin Williams; sister, Maxine Felder.  Surviving are his sons, Mark (Leah) Williams, David (Patty) Williams, David (Donna) Martin; grandchildren, Victoria Williams, Rebecca Williams, Sarah Williams (fiancé - Kirk Casstevens), Isaac Williams, Erik (Sylvia) Martin, Whitney (Andrew) Zoghby; great grandchildren, Noah, Hazel, Jordyn, and Zoey.  His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with the Rev. Tim Tucker officiating.  Burial will follow at Pilot View Friends Meeting with full military honors by the Yadkin VFW Post 10346.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday prior to the service at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 1267, Yadkinville, NC  27055 or to Pilot View Friends Meeting Cemetery Fund, 3225 Pilot View Friends, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
