Thurmond Cornelius Hester

Yadkinville Mr. Thurmond Cornelius Hester, 74, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 at his home. Mr. Hester was born October 19, 1948 in Forsyth County to Virgil and Ruby Reich Hester. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hester was preceded in death by a brother, Rick (Mary) Hester. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Betty White Hester; children, Jacqui Boster (Jimmy White), Adam (Tammy) Hester, Jeremy (Lori) Black, and Wendi (Michael) Davis; grandchildren, Megan, Christopher (Elizabeth), Travis (Aoi), Nathan (Kimberly), Abbi (Dakota), Kaylin, and Tyler (Samantha); great grandchildren, Kenzie, Haleigh, Payton, Lucas, Colton, and Lynlee; two sisters, Jane (Harold) Messick and Peggy (Kenneth) York; and a brother, Bill (Ivadine) Hester. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Scott Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Mtn.
