Timothy Lark Brooks

Yadkinville Mr. Timothy “Tim” Lark Brooks, 61, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at SECU Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness following cardiac arrest on January 23. Tim was born February 7, 1962, in Surry County to JC and Glenda Abbott Brooks. A graduate of Forbush High School, Tim worked on the family dairy farm, and helped his father raise beef cattle, quail, and bird dogs. At the time of his death, he was working for Yadkin Lumber Company. Tim enjoyed any type of racing, shooting pool, 80’s music, playing cards and bush hogging. He loved to grill steaks, tell jokes and riddles, watch westerns, and could make you laugh as quick as he could make you mad. Preceded in death by his parents, Tim is survived by his sister, Patricia (Brian) Hill; a bonus son, Brandon Brooks; niece and nephew, Ashley (Daniel) Hardison and Jonathan (Savannah) Williams; bonus nephew, Brandon (Shaska) Hill; great nieces and nephews, Oaklee, Finn & Vallee Hardison, Vaida & Walker Williams, and Addie, Jurnie, & Tillie Hill; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 pm, Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville, with Pastor Anthony Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SECU Hospice Care Center, 243 N. Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Tim’s co-worker, Dakota Long, Yadkinville Fire Department, Yadkin County EMS, the staff and medical teams at Forsyth Medical Center, and the entire staff of SECU Hospice Care Center in Yadkinville for the loving care and support given to Tim and the family.
