"Toby" Hemric Vanhoy

Mrs. Martha Ellen “Toby” Vanhoy, 77, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024. She was born September 9, 1946 in Yadkin County to the late Charles Hemric and Josie Royall Hemric. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, CW “Chuck” Hemric. She was a member of Peace Haven Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Richard Vanhoy; children, Keith (Meloney) Jones, Rodney (Penny) Jones, Angie (Bart) Crater; grandchildren, Brandon (Christie) Jones, Tyler (Wendy) Jones, Gage Jones, Matthew (Kelsey) Dixon, Alyssa (Michael) Hensley-Hopper, Erin Crater; great grandchildren, Malachi, Josiah, Josie, Audrey, Micah, Katie, Uriah, Tirzah, Kayson; sister, Gail (David) Fann; brothers, Dottie Lee Hemric, Jimmy Hemric; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, February 12, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Peace Haven Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Freeman, Rev. George Evans, Rev. Jon Bowman, and Rev. Keith Jones officiating. Burial will follow church cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thank you to the staff of the Mountain Valley Hospice for the loving care given to Toby and her family. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Vanhoy family.
